Quality and certification
At Landes, quality assurance is at the heart of our operation. Naturally, we have ISO certification: NEN-ISO 9001-2008. But that is not all:
We supply components for NATO equipment. In order to do so, we have to meet the stringent quality requirements and procedures laid down by NATO in AQAP 2120 (Allied Quality Assurance Publications). These are an extension of ISO certification. Our AQAP certification guarantees that the quality of our production and systems is assured in accordance with the strict NATO standards.
Going one step further than the ISO 9001 and AQAP 2120 standards is our AS 9100 certification, required by the aerospace industry.
No other sector places such high demands on quality as the aerospace industry. This applies not only to the technical quality of the components, but also to the process in which they are made. Central to this is our digital Product Data Management which is linked to our ERP system. This combination guarantees 100% traceability.
AS 9100 certification demands complete traceability. Every step in our production process is specified in our Product Data Management and ERP system. This begins with the purchase of our metals and plastics. We order exclusively from suppliers with the correct certification, so that the quality of the material is guaranteed.
Then every component is tracked throughout our factory. Thanks to closed batch registration, we are able to guarantee 100% traceability of all components, in full compliance with the AS 9100 certification standard.
Temperature controlled measurement facilities
Landes has extensive temperature controlled measurement facilities, to enable us to meet the incredibly small tolerances for certain components – for example in the aerospace and defence industry, which demands quality assurance according to AS 9100 certification. This means we can avoid any measurement errors due to expansion or contraction as a result of variations in temperature. We are able to monitor dimensions to an accuracy of micrometres.
